There is nothing like a child's imagination. Just over the past few weeks I have seen that Core's imagination is alive and in action. I've noticed that he has recently started having more imaginative play and one of his favorite things to do is pretend he is going on a bear hunt. It is actually really cute to see him go on this "pretend" bear hunt, because he gets down in the this half standing/ half squatting stance and puts one of his hands, palm side up, against his forehead and starts walking around searching for a bear. The first time I saw him doing this was a couple of weeks ago when we were actually hiding and hunting Easter eggs together while he was playing in the back yard. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "going on a bear hunt". It was precious!
To go along with the "pretending" theme, I thought I would share some recent pics from Core's first camping experience. Yes, Core and Chris went camping for the first time last weekend. They camped out in our backyard. They made an evening out of it by grilling hot dogs, making smores, and fishing. Well it was actually pretend fishing because Core isn't old enough just yet to master the rod and reel. Chris started teaching him though and even got him his very own Mickey Mouse fishing pole. Core was very excited!
