Big Brother Meets Little Brother

Big Brother Core is thrilled to now have his little brother Graham at home. Although, it initially took Core a little time to warm up to his new little brother, he's now attached and very attentive. 
When Core met Graham in the hospital, I don't think he quite understood that this new baby boy, his brother, would actually be coming home to stay.  But after we all came home together from the hospital it didn't take him long to realize that our new addition was here to stay and he quickly warmed up to baby Graham.
Core doesn't like to hear baby Graham cry and becomes very concerned for him when he's crying and runs to check on him immediately.  It is very sweet to see him care for Graham in this way.  Core also now asks for baby Graham every morning when he wakes up and wants to know where he is and what he's doing.  Now, I would be lying if I said this transition for Core from being any only child, to now having a brother to share Mommy and Daddy's attention, has been seamless.  Of course we have met some challenges with Core acting out for attention, because remember even negative attention is attention in a 2 year old's eyes, but honestly for the most part we think he is adjusting pretty well and has been accepting of his new baby brother.  We do have to remind Core frequently though that baby Graham is delicate right now and he has to play gentle.  Little boys like to " LOVE SO HARD" at this age.  All and all Core is adjusting well and proud to have a little brother. I have a feeling these boys will be best buds.  We are so blessed two have two precious boys and we are so excited that Core now has a little brother that will surely look up to him.
