Zoolights

Last Sunday night, we took the boys to see the annual Christmas Zoolights display at the Baton Rouge Zoo.  We got caught in the rain, but that didn't phase them at all.  Core really got into it this year, eagerly running from one light exhibit to the next. 



When Core saw this one he said,
 " silly Santa, you ride in a sleigh, not a truck"!

Donut Day with Alfie

A few weeks ago, a new Dunkin Donuts opened up just down the street from us!  So of course we had to have a donut day and try out the new donut joint, because we are BIG fans of donuts here in the Deggans household... who isn't?

Our Tree

After we had breakfast with Santa last Saturday, we went and picked out our Christmas tree and got into the holiday season.  Core enjoyed picking out the tree.

After we picked out our tree, we were off to get home and decorate.
While Daddy, Core, and I decorated, baby Graham was suppose to be taking a nap.






I guess he was just too excited.
 You see how well nap time went for him that day!

This little guy is already pulling up to a stand in his crib!
I have a feeling he will be crawling out before he's even a year old.

 



Breakfast with Santa

Parkview Baptist hosted a " Breakfast with Santa" last weekend to raise money and receive gift donations for "Toys for Tots".  The members of Parkview Baptist Preschool were also invited so we took the boys for a morning of fun, breakfast, and pics with Santa Claus!  Unfortunately i don't have the boys actual pic with Santa yet, but I'm eagerly waiting to see it, because they were both smiling big!

Arts and Crafts...



Arts and Crafts included making reindeer food for Santa's reindeer, writing a Christmas card to the Marines, and making Christmas picture frames.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

It's the beginning of December and that means the holiday season is here and it's time to decorate for Christmas!  This is my favorite time of the year!

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is bake, so each weekend I plan to be making something sweet and tastey.  This morning we made Monkey bread with chocolate chips, cinnamon, and marshmallows.  It was delicious!!! Core was my little helper.

The holiday season also means that Alfie, our elf on the shelf, has arrived!  Core was super excited to see him on Saturday morning. 

 

Alfie, also brought Core his own little stuffed Alfie to keep him company this month. This is a new addition to the elf on the shelf tradition, since the original can't be touched or he will lose his magic.
