Little Swimmer

Core had swimming lessons last week at the Baton Rouge Country Club.  He was such a big boy and he did a great job!  His teacher, Miss Olivia, was very impressed at how well he did for a child his age.  Usually, she recommends lessons for 2 weeks, because it usually takes this long for two year olds to get over the initial fear of the water and become more comfortable.  However, at the end of Core's first week of lessons, Miss Olivia was so impressed with his progress that she recommended we save our money and work with him more on our own. In just one week time, he was already where most kids are at the end of their lessons at two weeks.  Core went under water and even jumped in from the side of the pool.  I think he enjoyed it because this week he's been asking  me if he's going swimming again? This year's lessons were a great start and we hope he will continue to be this comfortable in the years to come.  I was only able to take a few pictures during Core's lessons because it's usually better for the parents to be out of sight  during  the lessons so that the students concentrate more on their teacher than they do on mommy or daddy. Here's our little swimmer.

Starting out in the kiddie pool.
He was only in there for about a minute
and then headed right into the BIG pool.

Here we go...

Blowing bubbles...

Kick little swimmer!
