Our cat Maya just turned 12 years old this month. I received her as a "gift" from my brother, Beau, in May of 2000 after her mom had abandoned her as a kitten. Chris and I had just started dating the prior November of 1999, so she's been with us from almost the beginning.Technically, I guess some may even say she was our first child. Chris helped me raise her, by bottle feeding her and loving her even when she wasn't very lovable to us. In her younger years, she's been known to bite and even draw blood at times. OUCH!
For those of you that know our Minnie Maya, she isn't known for being the sweetest cat, so it may be a little ironic to use her as an example of "sweet". But she has her moments and can be a sweet cat when she wants to be, but it's always on her own time. She's a little priss for sure. I caught this picture of Maya and Core the other day and thought it was SWEET!
