Mommy's Project 52:40 Natural

Aging is a natural process in life and today I turned 32!  To celebrate, Chris and I had a date night. Gammie was very sweet and came in town to keep the boys for us last night so Chris and I could have a dinner date for my birthday. We went to one of my favorite restaurants here in Baton Rouge, The Melting Pot- a fondue restaurant.  We had such a nice time.

Do you see Core's head there in the bottom of the picture?
He insisted on being in the picture and why not.

My little honey
We also celebrated together at home as a family and enjoyed chocolate cake. Chris knows me well.  It was yummy!  Core couldn't resist the icing and kept sticking his little fingers in it before I even had a chance to blow out the candles.  He loves chocolate just like his mommy and daddy.

Can you see the little fingerprints in rose on the bottom right
and across the bottom trim on the cake?

And speaking of natural, I happen to be a la natural without any make-up in these next pics.  I debated posting them, but I decided to embrace it and go ahead.  Why not, this is what I look like most of the time anyway.
Also, wrinkles are a natural part of aging and recently Core was nice enough to bring mine to my attention.  The other day, he ever so sweetly pointed to my face, ran his finger across my forehead and said what's this?  Thanks buddy for making mommy feel really old.

Our attempt at a family photo.
Everyone say cheese...but we just couldn't all look
at the camera at the same time.
Oh well, we'll keep trying.

And this morning Core helped me open my presents and cards.  He's such a good little helper and he loves to open presents, even if they aren't for him.

It has been a great birthday and I am very thankful for my family and friends!
