Mommy's Project 52:32 Tradition

For this week's topic of TRADITION, I once again have " baby" on the brain so I wanted to relate it to my family and my baby boys.
Prior to Core being born, Chris and I got his nursery all ready and part of that preparation included us framing Core's 20 week ultrasound, in a sweet little frame to display in his room.  This week I am getting Graham's nursery ready as well and today I framed his 20 week old ultrasound picture in a matching frame for his room.  Big brother and little brother will have the same sweet little frames to display their " first" pics.
On another traditional note, I guess in the past families have more traditionally waited until delivery to find out if they were having a BOY or GIRL.  But with the advances in medical technology these days, the option to find out before hand is easily available for those who wish to know ahead of time.  Chris and I fall into this group, because we are planners.  Well I'm the planner ( type A personality), but Chris is becoming one too more and more. Surprisingly I actually wanted to wait and be surprised, at least the first go round, but Chris was adamant about knowing ahead of time.  And now honestly, I am glad we found out because we were able to decide on our names for both boys ahead of time.  We decided to use family names to name our little boys because it's meaningful and special to us and we think it will be to them as well.  Some could say it's somewhat more traditional to use family surnames as first names, but others may say it's less traditional.  I guess it just depends on the way you look at it.
Core is named after my Mom's maiden name and Graham will be named after Chris's grandmother's ( Mrs. June's mom's) maiden name.

Baby Core
Baby Graham
( it may be hard to tell but his little hand is up by his face)
