Mommy's Project 52:18 Styling

This week's topic really makes me think of Christmas and decorating because it's that time to the year.  Tis the season...yes Christmas time is here and I couldn't be happier!  I LOVE Christmas and all the decorating, Christmas music, peppermint mochas (decaf this year while preggo), spending time with friends and family, baking, cooking, Christmas cards, cold weather ( if we're lucky here in La.) and Christmas lights that come with it. All these things represent the Christmas season for me, as well as remembering, honoring, and celebrating the birth of our savior, Jesus, through all these ways.

As we enter into December that means Christmas decorating/styling for us and we put up our Christmas tree yesterday to ring in the holiday season!  I think the smell and lights of the Christmas tree make it officially feel like Christmas is here and it gives our home a warmth like nothing else does.

Our stockings... Daddy's, Mommy's, Core's,
Maya and Mikey's ( yes the cats have one too), and Hank's.

We still have more decorating to do around the house, but this is a start.
Core has enjoyed the tree so far and as you can imagine, he is very interested in removing the ornaments. Therefore, we decided to put all the breakable ones on top and the more durable ones on bottom this year. We'll see if they last all month.

Of course I wanted to grab some pics of Core in front of the tree last night before bed
and he wanted Hank to be in the pics too.
He kept saying,  "Hankey SIT, SIT"!

Even Maya has enjoyed having the Christmas decorations out on display.

Core's  favorite ornament...
This is an ornament we gave Core last year for his first Christmas.
It holds his first Christmas pic from when he was 11 months old.
So far it's his favorite ( and mine) on the tree and he keeps trying to take it off and says,
" this one is mine".

  1. Oh, the pic of Core and the dog in front of the tree would be a great Christmas card! Both of them, would! Great pictures, love the tree and your fireplace!
