This year we started a new family tradition, " Elf on the Shelf". If you haven't heard of this yet, I highly recommend it. It's a fun and whimsical tradition to get started for your little ones, and Core has already become very interested in his little elf. Part of the tradition is to give your elf a name of his very own. I am happy to announce that Core named our elf "ALFIE" this week. I think initially it was a form of elfie because I'd ask him where elfie was, but it has now turned into "Alfie" and it has stuck. So tada... our elf now has his official name. Core sure does love him and he gets excited about finding Alfie's new location each morning. He even woke up this morning asking for him and said " I want to find Alfie". He doesn't really understand the entire concept of Santa yet, but he's learning that Alfie is Santa's helper to keep an eye on him to make sure he's a good little boy.
