Mommy's Project 52:11 REWARDING

When I think rewarding, I think of being a MOM.  I knew being a mom would be rewarding, but I just didn't know how rewarding until I had Core and became a mom.  Motherhood is very rewarding, but it's also very challenging as well.  I find myself asking for patience most days, especially as Core ( who's almost 21 months old and seems to be going on 20 years old) becomes more and more verbal and more and more active.  Some days his favorite word is NO! And it doesn't matter if he actually means yes and wants what I am asking him,  he still says NO, NO, NO! I guess this is just part of almost being 2! These challenging moments are well worth it though, because it's all those other little moments that are so REWARDING.
Some of the moments that I find most rewarding are when Core...
- says PLEASE Dada or PLEASE Mama, or " tank you" ( thank you).
-  gives sweet eyes with his " baby blues".
-  snuggles ( love this quiet time with him).
-  gives sweet hugs and kisses!  I love when he's affectionate!
-  laughs, and laughs, and laughs!
-  plays ( and he loves to play, especially outside).
-  sits and pretends to read books all by himself ( and he says, " I sit")
-  smiles ( especially when it's one of his little smirks from across the room).
-  says " sorry" ( after he's been fussed at for doing something he wasn't suppose to do)
-  says "La You " ( love you)!
- sits in his rocking chair in his room and says, " rock the baby".
- tries to sing his ABCs ( he has til D, then he kinda mumbles as you sing the rest) and then he screams
sing with ME ( at the end).
-  wakes up happy in the morning and just sits in his crib and talks.
Also it's rewarding to see Core
-  just light up when he sees Chris ( he loves his daddy).
-  be independent and do little things on his own.
-  grow, learn, and develop everyday right in front of our eyes.  Everyday he learns or says something new and it's truly amazing to watch him grow.
And it's not only seeing Core learn and grow each day that's rewarding, but as a family we learn and grow each day with one another.
