Back To School

Core started back to school on Monday.  Over the past 7 months he has been staying with his nanny, Ashley, and he LOVED her so much. We all do, but we knew it was only temporary, so we've had Core on the list for Country Day School.  We received a call last month that he got in for April and his first day was Monday, April 4th.  It was a GREAT first day!  He loved playing with his other 4 classmates, ate ALL his snacks and lunch, and even took a nap on his COT!  Yeah, I wasn't convinced that Core napping on the cot would actually happen, especially on his first day. His teachers reassured me that all moms worry that their children will not sleep on the cot, but they do! Apparently just seeing the other children do it, makes them want to do it too!  And they were right, Core laid right down and went to sleep. He only slept for 40-45 minutes, which is much shorter than his usual nap but hey I'll take it.  And just to have prove of it, his teachers took a picture of him cuddled up sleeping with his lovey! :)  I think he'll nap better as he gets in his routine. All and all we're having a good start back to school and Core really LOVES being around other children.  He's happy when I drop him off and happy when I pick him up, so to me that's a good sign and a good start!

Getting Ready for School...
Core had to hang out with his buddy Hank before going to school.

Off we go, to the car.

Core and one of his teachers, Miss Carneshia.

He was off and playing immediately!

Core's teachers were so sweet and took pictures of him on his first day to share with us.

NAP TIME!

Core had a great first day, but he was exhausted!  When i picked him up that afternoon, he wasn't in the car 5 minutes and he was out!

Then once we got home, he immediately got a book
and went straight to his chair to read.

More school pics to come...
