11 Months!

Core made 11 months on 12/31.  Hard to believe we'll be celebrating his 1 year birthday the end of this month!  Wow, the first 11 months have gone by so quickly. Seems like just yesterday, I was waking Chris up to tell him my water had broken and Core was on his way.  That may have been a little TMI for everyone, but hey that's the way it happened!

                                                                       

It's amazing to see Core developing his own little personality and mannerisms.  He is a sweet and happy baby boy, with an incredible LAUGH!  I think he gets that from his daddy ( he laughs out LOUD just like Chris) and it's contagious.  When you hear him laughing, you can't help but laugh too.  And believe it or not but for being such a sweet boy, he also has a little stubborn side too! Hmmm, wonder who he gets that from?

Over the past month, Core has had several new developments and and new interests. One of his biggest interests these days is Hank.  Hank is his buddy! So the majority of these pics will be of Core and Hank together.

Here's what Core has been up to these days ands some of his new likes....

Actions:
-Crawling everywhere, well everywhere we'll let him ( and he's a quick one, those little chunky legs can really move)
-Standing ( then sitting, then standing, and then the cycle continues)
-Standing and letting go.  Pretty impressive that he can balance so well on those little feet of his
- he's taken a few steps ( mainly sideways) when holding on to another object
- he gives HIGH FIVE!  He's been doing this one for a while now.
- waves BYE BYE!
- gives kisses ( he leans in and opens his mouth to give you a kiss).  It really is sweet, but he's also started doing this with Hank and unfortunately Hank has licked him in the mouth a few times! What can you do.

- shakes his head back and forth ( Nana taught him this one)
- lays down on his belly to look underneath the furniture or underneath his bigger toys and he's looking  for other toys.

- plays chase with Chris ( one of his favorite things, it cracks him up)
- playing Tickle Monster or Creepy Mouse
-clapping
- reading books, especially the "touch and feel " ones
-feeding himself finger foods

Words:
- DaDa,  this is his FAVORITE one to say.  He loves his DaDa! 
-MaMa.  Finally he has included this one!
-BaBa, which is his bottle.
- Huh?
-Hmm
- just started saying Bye- Bye.
- and many other words, or groups of words, that we just can't make out yet!

Foods:
Although Core still LOVES his #2 baby foods, we are working on finger foods.  Some of his new favorite foods are:
- Yogurt (  Yo Baby-not a finger food, but one of his favorite things for sure) 
- Yogurt bites
-Cheese
-Cheese toast.  This is a must in the our family, so it was offered early.
- Baby Cheetos ( they are actually the Graduates, little crunchies snacks), but I like to call them baby Cheetos.
- Peas ( previously he did not like, but now he does. Guess that's why you should introduce things
   more than once).
- sliced peaches
- Nilla Wafers ( this one is a messy one). Gammie suggested this recently and Core loves them.

- avocados, well this one depends on the day.


New Attributes:
- Several new baby curls, especially in the back
- 4 new teeth, for a grand total of 6 now.  His top, front four are all coming in at the same time.
 Ouch, poor baby.  He's a trooper.
