Mommy's Project 52:7 Selfless

Selfless- Having, exhibiting, or motivated by no concern for oneself; unselfish:

Selflessness- I think I learned the true meaning of this word, the day Core was born and I became a mommy.  Honestly, I knew motherhood was going to be a selfless act, but I truly learned what selflessness was when I became a mother to Core.  The day he was born and I looked at his sweet little face and into his sweet, helpless, baby blue eyes, I knew my world was no longer about me, and now ALL about him! It was the best feeling ever and completely indescribable! But it was also very overwhelming as well, to know that this sweet little being was all our responsibility ( mine and Chris's) and we are the ones to guide, teach, and inspire him the best way we see fit, to help him become the man he will ultimately be! It is truly a blessing and amazing to be a parent and such a JOY!  To my parents, my in- laws, and all you other fellow parents out there, thanks for all the selfless acts you have done and continue to do for your children on a daily basis. Just writing this post brings tears to my eyes, because it makes me relive those feelings all over again. I thought I would head down memory lane and share a few pictures from the day Core was born and our first month together as a family.
Here we go, off to the hospital because baby Core's coming...

Welcome baby Core

Sweet baby boy,
Core Christopher

Core was exactly one week old when the Saint's won the Superbowl!
